Pune: Ban on heavy vehicles in Alandi ahead of Kartiki wari

The traffic branch of Pimpri Chinchwad police is also installing over 250 CCTV cameras for security purposes Alandi. Around 2,000 police personnel, including officers, state reserve police force and home guards will be stationed at various locations, said the police.

Inspector Sunil Godse of Alandi police station said, “The industrial vehicles coming from Chakan will be diverted towards the Koyali-Markal route. The heavy vehicles coming¬† from Pimpri Chinchwad and Bhosari MIDC will take the route via Charoli. We have set up checkpoints, and the police will allow only permitted vehicles to travel through the town.
