President Droupadi Murmu visit: Traffic diversions on DND and Noida Expressway

Ahead of President Droupadi Murmu's visit to the Expo Centre in Greater Noida on Tuesday , police have put in place a traffic diversion plan.

Noida: Ahead of President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to the Expo Centre in Greater Noida on Tuesday , police have put in place a traffic diversion plan.

In a statement on Monday, Noida police said that vehicles will not be allowed to ply on the busy DND Flyway and the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway for a brief period on Tuesday for President Murmu’s visit to Expo Centre via the route.

Officials said that Greater Noida-bound commuters will have to drive through Noida sectors 15, 16, 18, 37 and 71 to reach Surajpur. Similar diversion will be in place when the President’s cavalcade returns to Delhi in an hour

Noida traffic inspector Ashutosh Kumar said, “Cops will be deployed along the entire route. The President will visit around 11am. Vehicular movement will be restricted for at least 10-12 minutes on the DND Flyway and the expressway.”

According to the detailed diversion plan, vehicles going from noida will be diverted to Golchakkar Chowk in Sector 15 to Rajnigandha Chowk in Sector 16 and then to Sector 37.

Similarly, traffic from Sector 18, Chilla Road and Sector 37. From there, vehicles will be guided towards the Golf Course and City Centre and then towards Greater Noida(west).
