A man was shot down in Bhilwara by an identified assailant in the Bhilwara district of Rajasthan.
Some people took to the streets in protest over the murder, a ruckus was created and some hospitals were vandalized. The family of the victim demanded compensation of Rs 50 Lakh.
As per the police, the man was going towards Harni Mahadev from Badla intersection in Bhilwara when four men on two bikes open fired at them. The elder brother died on the spot and the younger sustained injuries. The shooter fled the spot. The police blocked the roads, but the killers were not caught.
Chaos was seen on the streets soon after the incident. Due to increasing tension and
various mobs spotted in various parts of the city, the internet was suspended for 48 hours and section 144 was imposed.
The police force is also deployed in various parts of the city including Mahatma Gandhi crossing, Badla Chauraha, Bhimganj, and CT Kotwali. The orders were issued by divisional commissioner.
President of Muslim Sadbhav Sewa Samiti, Bhilwara warned of a protest if the killers were not arrested and the compensation of 50 lakhs was not provided to the family.
