The Congress government held a “Halla Bol”, rally today at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan against price rise, unemployment, and the Goods and Services Tax (GST) hike on essential items. The Delhi Police issued a traffic advisory on its official Twitter handle, alerting commuters about road closures. According to the police, paramilitary forces were deployed along with the local police at the venue for the rally, and metal detectors will also be placed at the entry points of the ground. Earlier in the day, Delhi Traffic Police had advised commuters to avoid some stretches due to the rally. Ranjeet Singh Flyover from Barakhamba Road to Guru Nanak Chowk, Vivekanand Marg (both sides), JLN Marg (Delhi Gate to Guru Nanak Chowk), roundabout Kamla Market to Guru Nanak Chowk, Chaman Lal Marg, Ajmeri Gate towards Asaf Ali Road and DDU-Minto Road red light point towards Kamla Market remained closed.t. Also, the Congress will hold a nationwide rally starting from Kanyakumari on September 7 and will end in Kashmir. The Congress’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ will cover a distance of 3,500 kilometers across 12 states and will take about 150 days to complete.
